J&S Jam at Threshold Brewing  First and Third Saturdays 2-4

This is a bluegrass style jam with between 8 and 12 players each 1st & 3rd Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00.

There is almost always a bass player,  guitars, banjo, fiddle, and mandolin and sometimes dobro.  Players range in experience from beginning to fluent.   

We take turns leading songs and fiddle tunes from bluegrass, country, traditional old time, early country and Americana styles.  Yes, we play fiddle tunes - And .. we love Hank Williams and George Jones as much as Bill Monroe !  

We encourage and support players who are new to playing instrumental breaks.  We often play traditional fiddle tunes, and there is a lot of fine singing.

There is a core group of friendly regulars who welcome and support new members.  Chord charts and other support materials are sometimes used by players.
